UK YOUTH MOBILITY VISA- BALLOT SYSTEM 2023
Youth Mobility Visa New Updates: – The second ballot of the 2023 Youth Mobility Scheme opens on Monday 24 July and closes on Wednesday 26 July.
Entry Requirements: Who is required to enter?
If you want to apply for a Youth Mobility Scheme visa and you are from some particular countries, you must enter the ballot:
The countries are as follows:
- Hong Kong, if you have a SAR passport
- Japan
- South Korea
- Taiwan
On the other hand, if you’re a British Overseas Citizen, British Overseas Territories Citizen or British National (Overseas)- you do not need to enter the ballot.
How to Enter?
The ballots generally open in the month of January and July every year.
Firstly to participate in the ballot, you need to send an email. Also, only one entry per person is allowed, and any duplicates are not considered.
Ballots are open for 48 hours. All the emails received within this mentioned period will be considered for the ballot. You will get an automated reply confirming your entry.
Guidelines to write an email:
- Must be in English
- Subject line of the email should include:- name, date of birth and passport number- (Format:- Lastname Firstname – DD/MM/YYYY – passport number)
- The body of the email should include:- name, date of birth, passport number and mobile phone m=number)
It is important to note that the emails without the said information/ format are not considered.
Youth Mobility Scheme Visa Eligibility Requirements:
1) If you are from New Zealand (Aged 18-35):
You must be aged 18 or over when your visa starts, or 35 or under when you apply for it.
2) If you are from a different country as follows:- (Aged 18-30)
- Australia
- Canada
- Monaco
- San Marino
- Iceland
3) You must be selected in the Youth Mobility Scheme Ballot before you apply if you are from the following countries:
- Hong Kong
- Japan
- South Korea
- Japan
4) You can apply (Aged 18- 30) and you are a:
- British overseas citizen
- British overseas territories citizen
- British national (overseas)
Proof of Funds:
You need to have at least £2,530 in your bank account to prove that you can take care of yourself financially while you are in the UK. You should have had the required amount of money for at least 28 consecutive days.
Successful in the Ballot:
If you are successful in this second ballot- you will receive an email by 31st July, 2023. After that, you have 30 days to submit your application and pay the visa fee.
Unsuccessful in the Ballot:
If you are unsuccessful in this second ballot, you will receive an email within 14 days after the ballot is closed. Further, you will be able to apply for the next year’s ballot system- when it opens.
