Eligibility criteria for Self- Employed Visa
An applicant is eligible for Canada Self Employment Visa Program if:
1) Have relevant work experience
Your experience is relevant if you have:
- taken part in cultural activities or athletics at a world-class level or
- been a self-employed person in cultural activities or athletics
2) Meet the selection criteria for self-employed people
Once applicants are found to meet the definition of “Self-Employed Persons”, applicants will then be assessed based on the selection criteria found in the table below. Applicants must earn a minimum of 35 points out of 100 potential points if they want to immigrate to Canada as self-employed person.
- Education: 25 points
- Work Experience: 35 points
- Age: 10 points
- Ability in English or French: 24 points
- Adaptability: 6 points
