Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (A.I.P.P.)

A.I.P.P. is a joint venture of Canadian and Atlantic Governments. To establish the labour market and local communities, federal and provincial government has decided to invite more newcomers in their provinces. Basically the program is designed to attract skilled and experienced candidates in order to increase employment rates. The territories participating in this program are – Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador. The government of Canada launched new immigration program on November 1, 2017, targeting particular allocations for the A.I.P.P. in the year 2018-2020.

  • Atlantic High-Skilled Program (A.H.S.P.):

    A.H.S.P. is designed precisely for the overseas proficient aspirant that has a job offer from an employer in the provinces of Atlantic, can apply for Canada Permanent Residence Visa. Immigrant has to continue the job at least for a year after receiving P.R. Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship (I.R.C.C.) is targeting to process 80 per cent of applications within six months.

    Atlantic Intermediate-Skilled Program (A.I.S.P):

    Through the A.I.S.P., eligible foreign workers having an employment letter from an employer in Atlantic province of Canada can submit an application for Canadian permanent residence. Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship (I.R.C.C.) is targeting to process 80 per cent of applications within six months.

    Atlantic International Graduate Program (A.I.G.P.):

    This program allows graduates to submit an application for permanent residence if they have related work experience. Through the A.I.G.P., an eligible immigrant with a job offer from an employer in Atlantic Canada can submit an application for Canadian permanent residence. Immigrant has to continue the job at least for a year after receiving P.R. Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship (I.R.C.C.) is targeting to process 80 per cent of applications within six months.

    This program is targeted for the recruitment of the skilled employees, with significant involvement from recruiters in the provinces. When an employer finds a suitable candidate meeting with their requirements and the program criteria, then the employer will offer them a job.

  • Eligibility Criteria

    For A.I.P.P. basic requirements are of age, education, work experience and language ability including other factors. These parameters vary from streams which are mentioned in below table:

    • Applicants must be authorized by an Atlantic territory which is important for the acceptance of I.R.C.C.
    • The candidate has to submit an issued copy of the endorsement letter with their application for permanent residence to the I.R.C.C.
    • All endorsements will be valid for only six months after the date of issuance. Candidate must submit the application for permanent residence before the expiry date of the letter. Recruiters do not need to go through the process of acquiring a Labour Market Impact Assessment (L.M.I.A.) under this program. Once the candidate has accepted the job, the employer will introduce the candidate with a designated settlement services.
